Coronavirus Disease Effect on Assisted Living Facilities in Southern California

The Coronavirus disease pandemic situation has affected assisted living facilities in a significant way.

Facilities have instituted policies to minimize the opportunity for the virus to be introduced onto their facilities. These new policies can include not allowing tours and onsite visits with strict requirements.

Second Home has been successful in placing seniors during this pandemic by utilizing our extensive working relationships with facility operators to identify those willing to place seniors in available vacancies during this time.

Call us at (877) 263-2272 for assistance or if you have any questions during these challenging and trying times.

Be safe and well.

Second Home Publishes Free 2020 Edition of the Senior Resource Handbook

A complete encyclopedia of South Bay senior care services now available for free online or by mail

Second Home is excited to announce the publication of the 2020 edition of the Senior Resource Handbook for seniors in the South Bay area of Los Angeles county.

Second Home has updated, enhanced, and expanded the information directed at seniors and their loved ones. It contains the latest information about public and private organizations that aid seniors, families, caregivers and professionals with assistance.

Its purpose is to assist South Bay seniors and their families when searching for local senior care services. The midst of a crisis is the most difficult time to assess a need and investigate resources. The Senior Resource Handbook is an opportunity to familiarize resources before a crisis occurs.

“The Senior Resource Handbook was developed in response to the lack of seamless access to local senior care resources,” says Mike Acuna, President at Second Home. “We research our listings to verify their information and solicit local South Bay businesses who depend on their neighbor for their success.”

The 2020 Senior Resource Handbook includes:

-100’s of South Bay senior care business listings at your fingertips.
-Educational articles about dementia, safety, and senior living.
-Checklists and list of tips to help you through the senior care search.

Second Home will be distributing 15,000 copies to local libraries, senior centers, medical offices, hospitals, and many more locations for pick-up. If you would like the Handbook mailed to you, we encourage you to subscribe for free to future editions by registering online. You can also view it in digital form by visiting https://seniorresourcehandbook.com/view-online/.

Second Home would like to thank the participating senior care companies in the Senior Resource Handbook. With their support, the Handbook is offered at no-cost to you.

About the Senior Resource Handbook
The Senior Resource Handbook has its roots in the South Bay. The founders of Second Home, Mike and Justin Acuna, were born and raised in the South Bay. The first edition was published in 2019 and the overwhelming positive response encouraged them to develop an updated 2020 version. Their vision was to create a valuable resource that simplifies your search, expands your knowledge, and ultimately eases the challenges experienced by you or a loved one. Second Home grew into a business by helping people. It’s their goal with the Senior Resource Handbook to help you.
